Small Recreation & Sport Grant - Closed until August 2013
The aim of the Small Recreation and Sport Grant is to support the development of not-for-profit recreation and sporting groups wishing to make a contribution to recreation and sporting activities within the Alexandrina Council region.
Total grant money in 2012/13 was $15,000. In order to assist as many groups as possible, grants will not normally exceed $1,000 and priority will be given to organisations that can show the grant is necessary for the project to proceed.

Recreation Capital Grant - Closed until August 2013
The aim of the Recreation Capital Grant is to support projects that focus on maintaining and conserving the community's assets by way of major capital improvements, providing opportunities for a broader cross section of the community to be involved in recreational activities. These include additions and alterations to buildings, clubrooms and infrastructure for community owned sporting and recreational facilities.
Total grant money in 2012/2013 was $50,000. In order to assist as many groups as possible, grants will not normally exceed $10,000. Significant projects which may exceed the $10,000 grant funding allocation may still be eligible for funding support if the project proponent can clearly demonstrate a wider community benefit.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate that they are matching the grant amount applied for (dollar for dollar). This can be with cash, materials, volunteer hours or in-kind work.

Community Halls Capital Grants Scheme - Closed until August 2013
The Community Halls Capital Grants Scheme aims to assist organisations wishing to make a contribution to the Alexandrina Council region by way of maintenance and capital improvements to local community owned buildings or structures. Total grant money in 2012/2013 was $50,000, individual grants will be funded on a dollar for dollar contribution basis. The grant is for community halls that are not Council owned. The Community Halls Capital Grant is for community halls that are not Council owned and not on the Council Asset Register

Young Emerging Leaders Grants- Closed until July 2013
Alexandrina Council through its Young Emerging Leaders Grant aims to encourage and support young people who display outstanding commitment and achievement in their chosen field of endeavour. The purpose of the grant is to assist young people aged between 10-20 yrs. living in the Alexandrina Council area to participate in competitions, research, study or events that develop their personal or professional skills and experience in their chosen field.
