Development Approval is made up of two separate consents: planning and building. Applications can be made for both consents at once or each separately.

Building Requirements
Note that when applying for building consent independently of planning consent, some planning requirements must also be provided. See Building Requirements Checklist for details.
- A description in writing of the construction of the building to be demolished.
- A description in writing of the demolition procedure, including details of the method of removal and disposal of any materials containing asbestos that may be encountered.
- Confirm that any person responsible for the removal of materials that may contain asbestos will hold the appropriate licence, issued by the Mineral Fibres Unit of SafeWork SA.
