'Whose Elbow' finds a new home

Goolwa art installation is relocated

‘Whose Elbow’ is an art installation created in 2011 by Tony Bishop and has recently been relocated to the corner of Dawson and Porter Streets, Goolwa.

The focus of the sculpture is based on the people of Goolwa, past present and in the future. The artist has chosen an iconic fishing buoy and net as a sculptural form. The net is formed by a series of linking silhouetted images of the people of Goolwa. The silhouette refers to the cut out silhouettes that were made at seaside carnivals when he was a boy.

A new interpretive plaque with art work will be in place by the end of August.
