2 day event, 10.30am - 4.30pm each day. Strathalbyn Bands Festival

One of the biggest non-competitive bands festivals in South Australia. The idea behind the festival is to promote the traditions of community bands.

Up to 20 concerts, brass and town bands performing approximately 30 minutes of their own selection of music. Bands from local areas, Fleurieu Peninsula, Adelaide Hills and Metro area.

The only band to perform on each day is the host, Strathalbyn Concert Band. We create a theme and dress up for the event. While we are playing we stage little comedy skits, ie Rolf Harris with 3 legs, James Bond & the Russian Spy Lady etc. Our act is the closing act for each day.

This years theme is 'Nightlife' and will feature cameo skits with the Strath Players.

Entry cost $8/Adult, children free.

Catering is available in the town hall on both days.
