Langhorne Creek - RestaurantAwaiting you 10 minutes east of Strathalbyn is Langhorne Creek, one of Australia's first wine growing districts. Here on the flood plains of the Bremer River, vineyards sprawl in all directions.

A visit to the district's award winning wineries will introduce you to the area's quality produce and to some of its local history - a look at the enormous red gum wine press is a must.

A visit to nearby Lake Alexandrina will provide many opportunities for bird watching and fishing enthusiasts.
