Produce & Tourist Trail

Start the Produce and Tourist Trail from the Information Board on the northern side of the town and be prepared to experience some of South Australia's unique produce, served up with a dash of warm country hospitality.

Mt Compass Township
Mt Compass was first settled in the 1880's and the rich peat flats were found to be ideal for vegetable growing. During the 1920's to 40's, more productive pastures were developed and a thriving dairy industry was established.

During the late 1970's and early 80's, many alternative agricultural industries were developed in the area.

Mt Compass is now home to a diverse range of fresh and interesting produce.
