In addition, our region also hosts more than 25 active community conservation groups.

Council is committed to working with these and other groups providing environmental education in our region to ensure that our community’s information needs are being met, without being duplicated. Council is also committed to recognising and rewarding those individuals and community groups who take a leading role in caring for the environment and enhancing the region’s sustainability.
