Abstract, semi abstract or non-figurative painting often requires the viewer to spend more time contemplating the work as it shifts from representational language to a more imaginative vocabulary. The disparate modes of expression between these three artists become visual probes through which new visual realities might be discovered. The trick is to stretch one’s perception and perhaps see things in the world previously missed.
