Fleurieu Regional Assessment Panel

Alexandrina Council and the District Council of Yankalilla are seeking Expressions of Interest from people who would like to be part of the newly created Fleurieu Regional Assessment Panel (FRAP).

The FRAP will cover the areas of Alexandrina Council and the District Council of Yankalilla on the Fleurieu Peninsula; with a combined area of 2,578 square kilometres and a population base of 32,515 persons, the FRAP will be responsible for facilitating high quality development that complements our beautiful natural environment and townships.

There are five (5) positions available including one (1) Independent Presiding Member, three (3) Independent Members and one (1) Deputy Member. These people will join an Elected Member representative and an Elected Member Deputy representative from the constituent Councils to form the FRAP.

The FRAP will initially be responsible for assessing a range of Development Applications against the provisions of the relevant Council Development Plans, as a delegate of the Council under the Development Act 1993. In time, the FRAP will act as a relevant authority in its own right under the provisions of the Planning Development and Infrastructure Act 2016.
