Libraries and Visitor Information Centres
Alexandrina Libraries and Visitor Information Centre update
We appreciate your patience as we facilitate COVID-19 recovery stage and re-opening of our services for you.
Our libraries are re-opening with modified hours. We are pleased to reinstate these services to our community, while adhering to COVID-19 safe requirements as guided by the State Government. When you visit our libraries you will see signage in place to remind of physical distancing and hygiene guidelines. The maximum number of visitors to each library (excluding staff) is 20 people at any one time. Thank you for your continued support and patience as we prioritise the health and safety of our visitors and staff.
The Strathalbyn and Goolwa Library, and the Mount Compass Kiosk are now open. Library services, including Click and Collect, are available from Monday to Friday 9am–5pm, and Saturdays 9am-12noon in Strathalbyn and Goolwa.
The Port Elliot Library Depot has re-opened on Wednesdays 2pm–4.30pm and Saturdays 9:30am-12noon.
The Milang Library Depot has re-opened with a reduced weekly service until further notice on Mondays 3pm–5pm .
Physical changes and restrictions on patron numbers at our libraries will remain to ensure compliance with social distancing requirements.
Click and Collect
Patrons are able to access their existing on hold items and place new items on hold via the OneCard Network for collection on arrival. To access the Click and Collect Service, patrons are encouraged to visit our Online Library Catalogue at www.alexandrina.sa.gov.au/libraries or call 8555 7033 for assistance. Click and Collect is currently available at Goolwa, Strathalbyn and Mount Compass.
Visitor Information Centres
The Goolwa Visitor Information Centre is now open Monday to Sunday 10am to 2pm.
The Strathalbyn Visitor Information Centre will be open every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday 10am to 2pm.
