Libraries and VIC reopen

Alexandrina Libraries and Visitor Information Centre update

We appreciate your patience as we facilitate COVID-19 recovery stage and re-opening of our services for you.

Alexandrina Libraries

Effective Monday 18 May 2020 our Alexandrina Libraries will be launching a “Click & Collect” service, customers will be able to access their existing on hold items and place new items on hold via the OneCard Network for collection on arrival.

To access the “Click & Collect” service, patrons are encouraged to visit our Online Library Catalogue at www.alexandrina.sa.gov.au/libraries or call 8555 7033 for assistance.

Strathalbyn Library to open from Monday 18 May 2020 with limited services, Monday – Friday 10 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.

  • Limited to 10 patrons at any one time (excluding staff)
  • Ability to only borrow or collect items from the Library Service
  • Ability to access Council Services or make a cashless payment
  • Social Distancing measures will be in place with markers on the floor and staff triage on entry
  • Record keeping of patrons when entering the building
  • Limit of 15min per person will be encouraged
  • No Public PC usage until further notice
  • Regular environmental disinfection cleaning of the premises.

The Goolwa Library remains closed until further notice whist maintenance works are undertaken and physical changes are made to better manage social distancing requirements.  From 18 May 2020 our Goolwa Library will be temporarily relocated to the rear of Centenary Hall, Dawson Street in Goolwa, Monday - Friday 10.00am to 4.00pm.

  • Limited to 2 patrons at any one time (excluding staff)
  • Ability to only collect items through the “Click & Collect” process
  • Social Distancing measures will be in place with markers on the floor and staff triage on entry
  • Record keeping of patrons when entering the building
  • No Public PC usage
  • Regular environmental disinfection cleaning of the premises.

Library and Customer Service will remain closed on the weekend.

Announcements regarding our regions other Libraries/Kiosk will be made in the coming weeks.

Visitor Information Centres

The Goolwa Visitor Information Centre will re-open over weekends - 10am-2pm.

  • Saturday, 23 May & Sunday 24 May, and
  • Saturday, 30 May & Sunday 31 May

At this stage no retail services are available.

Our Strathalbyn Visitor Information Centre will remain closed, until further notice.
