The WAB group of Strathalbyn celebrate their 100 year anniversary

The Women in Agriculture and Business of South Australia group  celebrated their 100 year anniversary on 31 January with the unveiling of a new plaque in Stathalbyn's impressive Soldiers Memorial Gardens.

To complement the plaque, two 'Spirit of Rural Women' roses were also planted at the site to symbolise the resilience and beauty of our rural women.

Women in Agriculture and Business of SA Inc. is a state-wide support and communication network for rural women, especially those interested or involved in primary industries. WAB has a  network of branches with about 300 members. Branches usually meet monthly to work for local community projects, to discuss wider issues or perhaps to conduct or attend workshops of an educational or cultural nature. Friendship is a big part of WAB meetings.
