Industry leaders connect at Mount Compass Forum
Business and industry leaders from across the Fleurieu and Adelaide Hills gathered at Mount Compass on Tuesday 16 June for the second Industry Forum, building on the momentum of the inaugural session earlier this year.
Hosted by our partner, Regional Development Australia (RDA), the forum again provided a space for open conversation, shared learning and practical problem-solving across the wider region.
Alexandrina was well represented, with attendees from the Strathalbyn Tourism Association, Goolwa Wharf operators, Mount Compass Produce & Tourism Trail and the Langhorne Creek Grape and Wine Association, alongside Council’s Economic Development team.
These groups play a vital role in shaping our region’s economic landscape. The Economic Development team takes every opportunity to highlight the work of these local groups, elevate their impact, and encourage businesses across the region to connect, collaborate, and grow together.
The value of collaboration was a consistent thread at the June forum. Attendees noted that bringing people together, sharing experiences and supporting one another helps build momentum and motivation, particularly in times of uncertainty.
The forum also reinforced practical advice for industry groups and businesses, including focusing on fundamentals, celebrating small wins, adapting when needed and continuing to invest in relationships.
This second forum confirmed the appetite across the region for regular opportunities to connect, share insights and strengthen partnerships.
