Waste collection in the Alexandrina Council area is managed by Fleurieu Regional Waste Authority (FRWA).
Formed in partnership with the City of Victor Harbor, District Council of Yankalilla and Kangaroo Island Council, FRWA delivers sustainable, efficient, and cost-effective waste and recycling services to our communities.
Residents in urban areas benefit from a three-bin system – General Waste, Recycling and Food & Garden Organics (FOGO) – while rural households are serviced with a two-bin system for General Waste and Recycling.
All bins are collected fortnightly, helping to reduce waste sent to landfill and support better recycling practices.

Download a council-wide or an address-specific calendar
- Visit the FRWA website for collection calendar downloads
- Click on your council logo to download a council-wide calendar, OR type your street address in the search bar, then download your address-specific calendar.
Pick up a printed calendar
Printed calendars are available from Council Offices and all FRWA Waste and Recycling Depots.
Request a mailed calendar
Visit the FRWA website for collection calendar downloads and fill out the request form for a printed calendar to be mailed to you. Alternatively, call our customer service team on 8555 2467. Please allow up to 10 days for postage.
