Environmental Health

The Alexandrina Council Environmental Health Team endeavours to promote the highest standards of environmental health by providing guidance through education, sharing of expertise and utilising enforcement measures to achieve the best health outcomes for our community.

The Environmental Health Team at Alexandrina Council is responsible for the administration of Council's responsibilities required in various acts and regulations including:

  • South Australian Public Health Act 2011 and associated Codes, Guidance materials and Regulations
  • Food Act 2001, Food Regulations 2002 and Food Safety Standards
  • Supported Residential Facilities Act 1992 and Regulations
