To assist candidates with understanding the requirements for election signage, the Council has prepared an Elections Sign Information Sheet. Please see the approval to display local government election signs here.

Please read the General Approval Election Signs* from the Department of Infrastructure and Transport and the NICC 210 – Signage Banners and Temporary Equipment on SA Power Network Assets.

* Please note that there are changes to the Local Government Act 1999 which has changed the rules around Election Signage, which is outlined in the Elections Signs Information Sheet, these changes are not outlined in the General Approval for Elections Signs from Department for Infrastructure and Transport.

Please find following a list of roads belonging to the Department of Infrastructure and Transport in order to provide greater clarity as to where signage may be placed. Maps that detail Council and Department of Transport are included below:

Council has adopted a Caretaker Policy which will determine how decisions are made and ensure that Council resources are used appropriately between the close of nominations (12 noon on 6 September 2022) and the close of elections of election. (please include Policy)
