Local businesses gain expert support in Goolwa – next stop Strathalbyn
Twelve local businesses recently took part in a hands-on workshop at the Goolwa Business Hub, designed to help them build confidence and capability across key areas of business success.
The session, Running and Growing Your Business, was delivered by The Polaris Centre with State Government support. Alexandrina Council provided the venue and brought the business community together, ensuring local operators could access expert advice without having to travel far or pay for expensive programs.
Participants walked away with practical tools, a comprehensive workshop manual, and a free one-hour private consultation to apply what they learned to their own business. Topics included pricing, planning, marketing, profitability, and strategies to sell more than competitors, all aimed at helping businesses strengthen their foundations and grow sustainably.
Why does this matter?
Because strong businesses mean a strong region. By connecting our local business community with expert-led programs, we’re helping operators build skills and confidence that translate into real growth and resilience.
