Strathalbyn Business Community Shows Up in Force for Town Hall Event
Strathalbyn’s vibrant business community turned out in impressive numbers for the first business event held in the newly upgraded Strathalbyn Town Hall, signalling strong local interest in future-focused business growth.
Held on Wednesday 24 September as part of Small Business Week 2025, the “Smarter & Faster Business” session brought together local entrepreneurs and business owners to explore how artificial intelligence can accelerate business success.
The strong turnout and engaged audience reflected the energy and commitment of the Strathalbyn business community, and Alexandrina Council is proud to support and bring this kind of event to the region.
Keynote Insights
Dan Levy from More Space For Light delivered the keynote presentation, demystifying artificial intelligence for small and medium enterprises. Levy shared practical examples of how AI is already being used to improve efficiency and growth, and encouraged businesses not to be intimidated by the technology, but to explore how it can work in their specific context.
The panel discussion featured two local businesses actively exploring AI applications:
- Andy Ide from HorseRecords spoke about AI in specialised industries, showing how even niche businesses can benefit from creative AI solutions.
- Nicole Clarke from Kimbolton Wines shared insights from the wine and tourism sector, highlighting how AI can enhance customer experience and streamline operations.
