Chief Executive Officer Selection Panel

Section 98 of the Local Government Act 1999 sets out appointment procedures for a Chief Executive Officer.  The establishment of a Chief Executive Officer Selection Panel in accordance with Section 98(4) and 41 of the Local Government Act 1999 and engagement of a qualified independent person.

At its meeting of 11 June 2024, Council resolved to establish a Chief Executive Officer Selection Panel, Terms of Reference and timeline for the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer for Alexandrina Council.

The Action Plan requires consistent engagement with Council to make decisions at various steps along the way.

Due to the nature of the process, most items will be considered in confidence, but Council may consider releasing relevant documents in due course.
