Shape Your World - 2027 Council Elections

Make sure you’re enrolled to vote in the April 2027 Council Elections.

If you are enrolled on the South Australian electoral roll, you can vote in council elections for the area where you live. You may also be eligible to vote through Alexandrina Council’s supplementary roll if you own property or operate a business in Alexandrina, or represent a body corporate or group ownership organisation.

Enrolments close at 5pm on Monday 4 January 2027.

Please check your enrolment early, as Council office hours will vary over the Christmas and New Year period.

Council Election Key Dates

• Enrolment closes at 5pm Monday 4 January 2027
• Nominations to be a candidate in the council elections open Tuesday 26 January 2027
• Nominations close at 12pm Tuesday 9 February 2027
• Voting opens - Between Thursday 11 March and Wednesday 17 March 2027
• Voting closes at 5pm, Wednesday 7 April 2027
• Scrutiny and count from 9am, Saturday 10 April 2027.
