Renewal process change for Exceptional Circumstances bins

If you have an Exceptional Circumstances (EC) bin, including the Special Medical Needs category, please be aware that the annual sticker renewal process has changed in 2026.

All existing EC bin stickers expire on 30 June 2026 and need to be renewed annually for continued collection.

For the 2026/27 financial year, renewal applications will now be made through the Fleurieu Regional Waste Authority (FRWA) - not Council.

Automatic renewal and mailout of Special Medical Needs category stickers will cease, and current medical recipients will now be required to submit an annual renewal application.
