Changes to Community Transport in Alexandrina
The State Government has recently made changes to its funding boundaries for community transport options across South Australia. The changes take effect on 1 September 2025 and mean that the Southern Communities Transport Scheme (SCOTS) will become the sole provider of community transport services in Alexandrina as part of the Department of Human Services' (DHS) newly named Community Transport SA (CTSA) program.
Council has a dedicated staff member available to support Hills Community Transport clients aged over 65 years through these changes and to obtain a new referral code from My Aged Care. To make an appointment with our Community Development Officer, please call Council on 8555 7000.
