The Fleurieu EV Community Showcase took place at the Goolwa Wharf Precinct on Sunday 11 October, drawing strong community interest in electric vehicles and sustainable transport.

Held alongside the Cittaslow Goolwa Produce & Artisans Market, the event drew a strong crowd and featured a diverse range of electric vehicles on display.

Visitors could chat with EV owners, ask questions, and learn more about EV technology and ownership.

Community feedback was positive, with attendees praising the variety of vehicles on display and the chance to engage directly with owners. Feedback also identified opportunities to enhance future events, including additional signage and refinements to the event layout.

Alexandrina Council presented the Fleurieu EV Community Showcase with supporting partners: SA Power Networks, Cittaslow Goolwa, Bicycles Victor Harbour, Australian Electric Vehicle Association, Resilient Hills & Coast, Elecrify Adelaide, and Engage Change.

Council extends its sincere thanks to the many partners, exhibitors, volunteers and EV owners who contributed to the success of the Showcase. As an inaugural event, their support, enthusiasm and willingness to share their knowledge helped create an engaging and informative experience for the community.

The event successfully sparked conversations about the future of transport, received positive feedback from exhibitors and stakeholders, and integrated seamlessly with market operations.

This FREE event was also part of the Nature Festival.
