Ratalang-Basham Beach Conservation Reserve is a large reserve and parklands area, which links Middleton and Port Elliot along the foreshore. The Encounter Bikeway runs through the Ratalang-Basham Beach Conservation Reserve. During the winter, the stretch of water between Middleton and Port Elliot known as Fisherman Bay can host Southern Right Whales during the migration period.
