Included in the State Heritage register and nestled in the heart of the town of Strathalbyn is an unusual town common. Consisting of a square reserve, embracing an unusual but prominent peninsula-like river bend, set aside for community purposes, there exists a gardenesque-style park dedicated to the fallen of World War One.
