Berry Smith Drive Wastewater Pump Station, Strathalbyn
The Berry Smith Drive water-water pump station in Strathalbyn was upgraded in late 2024. This existing pump station is located within the Council reserve area on Berry Smith Drive.
Works were performed over 12 weeks starting in mid-September 2024 and finishing just before Christmas.
Works included excavation adjacent to the existing sewer pump station and the placement of a large underground storage tank to greatly improve system performance and capacity. In conjunction, pipework and valves were installed to improve system operations for the long term. The reserve area was reinstated following the earthworks and disturbed ground was hydro-seeded to provide future grass coverage. No vegetation (trees or other) were removed.
