Fairfield Drive CWMS Pump Station, Strathalbyn
Works to upgrade the Community Wastewater Management Systems (CWMS) Pump Station near Fairfield Drive at Strathalbyn have been completed.
The project involved installing a new storage tank on site, with earthworks performed in the reserve area adjacent to the Angas River. No works were carried out within the river. All required approvals and consents were obtained, and a Soil Erosion Drainage Management Plan was implemented by the contractor. Site management plans were in place, and a Water Affecting Activity Permit was issued to the Council by the Department for Environment and Water.
Pedestrian and cyclist access to the shared-use path by the Angas River was maintained throughout the construction period. Any limited disruptions that occurred were brief and managed effectively. The reserve area has been fully reinstated.
