Council’s Contractor has completed the first stage of renovation at the Strathalbyn Soldiers Memorial Gardens monument. Works include the removal of the old flagstone paving, which will be retained and reused at a later date.
The site has been repaved to new levels and an additional Mintaro slate step installed to make the approach to the monument safer for the public. The base also has a new render applied and surrounding turf removed and relayed to the new levels.
