Daranda Terrace Boardwalk, Milang

Soil testing investigations will take place around the Daranda Terrace Boardwalk on 16 September 2026 to support the design of a replacement boardwalk.

The existing timber boardwalk is nearing the end of its service life and is proposed to be replaced as part of a project currently planned for delivery in 2027–28.

Testing works are expected to cause minimal disruption. Further updates, including concept designs, will be shared with the community as the project progresses.

Milang Jetty

The Council has approved additional budget to renew five public jetties at Milang.
However, the end of the main Milang jetty was closed in late January due to damage from a berthing vessel. This has delayed the project and is likely to incur extra costs. The incident impacted the structural integrity of this part of the jetty and will require further engineering assessment, including an inspection by certified divers.
Council is reviewing the project to determine whether works on the other jetties can commence in the interim.
