Footpath works, Braemer Drive and North Terrace
Private contractors will commence footpath construction works on Braemar Drive and North Parade, Strathalbyn, from 1 December 2025. These works will include the installation of kerb and gutter, footpath construction, new property accesses, and road level corrections associated with an adjacent private development.
Work Zone Traffic Management and detours will be in place for the duration of the construction period, which is expected to take around three weeks. Please note these works are not Council-managed.
Stormwater works, South Terrace
Stormwater improvement works along South Terrace in Strathalbyn are almost complete. Minor defect repairs are scheduled for completion by 31 January 2026. Traffic management will be in place during these works to maintain a safe environment; however, both lanes of South Terrace will remain open, and access to adjacent businesses will be maintained at all times.
This project involved upgrading stormwater infrastructure along the southern side of South Terrace, near Murray Street, and at the intersection of East Terrace and Langhorne Creek Road. The scope of works included the installation of drainage systems, kerbing, and line marking.
