Ford Crossings
All ford crossings are currently open in Alexandrina. However, conditions can change quickly at ford crossings after heavy rain. Emergency Services warn motorists NOT to drive through floodwaters.
SES Safety Advice
- Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
- Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
- Obey road closure signs. Plan so you don't drive on flooded roads.
- Check the ABC and local media for updates. The situation can change quickly, so stay informed.

These road closures and restrictions are in accordance with the Road Traffic Act 1961 and approved by SA Police.
Bridges / Pedestrians Paths:
Braewood Road Bridge Closure, Sandergrove
Alexandrina Council has recently undertaken Bridge condition inspections within the district.
As a result, one bridge (southernmost of Braewood Road) will be closed until further notice. A full road closure will be required at the southernmost bridge with the installation of Bridge Closed signs along Braewood Road and surrounding roads.
