Design and Technical Standards

Standards establish requirements for a repeatable technical task with the construction and/or modification of Alexandrina Council’s assets within the Water Services Industry.  Design and Technical Standards generally form part of a contractual document and are binding.

The Alexandrina Council requires that all design works be undertaken in accordance with the following Codes and Criteria:

• Alexandrina Wastewater - Typical Drawings
• WSA 01 – Polyethylene Pipeline Code of Australia
• WSA 02 – Sewerage Code of Australia
• WSA 04 – Sewerage Pumping Station Code of Australia
• WSA 06 – Vacuum Sewerage Code of Australia
• WSA 07 – Pressure Sewerage Code of Australia
• WSA 302 – SCADA Guidelines
• Community Wastewater Management Systems Code, April 2013 (SA Health)
• SA Water – Authorised Products TS 0506 Vacuum Sewer Systems, Revision 1.0, 8 April 2016 or later approved document; with exception to a small number of items documented.
