Temporary Road Closure Application

The Alexandrina Council of general approval and delegation from the Minister for Transport and Infrastructure to Council exercise the authority delegated by the Minister of Transport under Sections 17, 20 and 33 of the Road Traffic Act 1961. It is mandatory this form is completed and returned to Council no later than three (3) months prior to commencement of the event.

Certified Person or Organisation

Name Provide details of the Work Zone Traffic Management person or organisation certified in accordance with the Australian Standard AS 1906.4 and AS 1742 Part 3 that is responsible for providing the traffic management for the event.

Licence Number

Traffic Marshals List attending Traffic Marshals certified by SA Police under the ‘Managed Event’ format pursuant to Section 17 of the Road Traffic Act 1961.

Public Consultation Brief Applicants are required to consult with property owners/occupiers. Provide brief details of how public consultation has been conducted.

Public Consultation Evidence Attach evidence of public consultation to the application.

Are there any objections from property owners/occupiers that may be affected by the temporary road closures?

If yes what are the objections and how will this be managed?

Provide the details of the nominated person that has been responsible for this consultation.

Fees and Charges Alexandrina Council may charge a fee for use of public land/roads for commercial or community purposes. Fees payable will be in accordance with Council’s Schedule of Fees and Charges (as applicable).

Evidence of public consultation is attached (evidence of support has been collated from landowners and business operators adjacent to the subject road closures and emergency services and SA Police)
I am aware of the fees payable for this application
