The Economic Development Strategy 2022-27 was endorsed by Council on 20 December 2021. It follows a philosophy of ‘regenerative’ economic development. Council will be building a resilient economy which purposefully sustains our people, environment, culture, and history.

Developed as an informing strategy to guide and support Council’s Community Strategic Plan A2040’s focus on a Liveable, Green and Connected Alexandrina, and to address the community’s desire to see healthy and sustainable growth with deep respect for heritage and environment. It is focused on four priority areas namely: Leadership and Advocacy, Investment Attraction, Town Building and Business, and Industry Development. It introduces regenerative actions for the first time to ignite our pathway to becoming a regenerative economy, informs of the key partnerships required to achieve the priority areas and outlines five (5) year objectives.
