Community Noticeboard Submission - One-off Event

Community Noticeboard Guidelines

Alexandrina Council reserves the right to accept or reject applications to be included on the Community Notice Board.

You are welcome to submit your community activity if it:

  • occurs within the Alexandrina Council area
  • is open to the public
  • is socially inclusive.

The application may be refused if it:

  • conflicts with the Council’s values, policies and statutory responsibilities
  • promotes specific religious or political activities
  • has a governance focus eg member or board meetings
  • the information s incomplete
  • is offensive or abusive
  • is promoting a business or commercial enterprise
  • promote private activities eg garage sales
  • is held outside of the Alexandrina Council region.

Alexandrina Council reserves the right to edit, decline or remove listings at its discretion

Application procedure

  • all requests for display of notices on the Community Noticeboard should be submitted using the application form
  • applications must be received at least two weeks before the start date of the activity.
