We are doing everything we can to support people in the community, and will continue to update you and let you know what support we can provide.  Alexandrina Council main number 8555 7000 has also become our Community Hotline – providing a listening ear for local community members in need of connection and support.

Taking good care of your mental health and wellbeing has never been more important.  See some helpful links and information below:

  • Be Well Plan: to create a personalised wellbeing plan for both good and challenging times. This program also includes access to pre-recorded sessions and facilitated group chats with professional trainers.  Developed by the SAHMRI Wellbeing and Resilience Centre and the Orama Institute at Flinders University.
  • Head to Health: for tips on maintaining good mental health during COVID-19, accessing mental health services, talking to children and protecting the elderly.
  • Healthdirect: for easy online access to trusted, quality health information and 24 hour health advice over the phone (1800 022 222).
  • Lifeline: providing all Australians with access to 24 hour crisis support and suicide prevention services.
  • SA COVID-19 Mental Health Support Line where people are on-hand 7 days a week (8am-8pm) to talk and offer mental health support  - 1800 632 753
    Beyond Blue COVID hotline
    is also available to call on 1800 512 348.

  • For Not-for-profit Organisations: to support not-for-profit organisations continue to provide services to vulnerable and disadvantaged people in South Australia in the current circumstances of the COVID-19 public health emergency, grants of up to $10,000 are available to eligible organisations.  For more information visit the Department for Human Services - Grants SA.
  • For Australian artists, groups and organisations: the 2020 Resilience Fund is designed to provide emergency relief to support the livelihoods, practice and operations of Australian artists, groups and organisations during the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Regional Development Australia’s Hills & Coast Grant Finder is a useful resource to help individuals, businesses, community groups, sports clubs and other not-for-profits source and apply for grant funding opportunities. There are a number of COVID-19 related grants listed on their website.
