The Fleurieu Aquatic Centre opened its doors to the community on 25 March 2017, and an official opening was held on 2 April 2017.

The completion of the aquatic centre comes after decades of investigation and planning, and a 21 month construction period.

The $21 million centre is a joint initiative of the City of Victor Harbor and Alexandrina Council. Funding support came from the Australian Government ($7.5 million), SA Government ($500,000) and a generous land donation from the Wright Family (Beyond Today).
